Willow arrives in November 2022 - may 2022

Little Willow at 3kg has come to start her journey here at Rocklily. She is settling in, and will be starting playtime soon with Gidget soon to become buddies for their 2 year journey here.  Both love their bottles and I might add both take their time enjoying the relaxing time suckling their milk.  we will bring more news as things move along the journey path.

December  2021

Gidget still in care she and her buddy Willow got liver fluke and its been taking months to deal with consequences. Prolonged wet wether has been the issue

She is the perfect buddy for Gidget. Willow is relaxed and easy-going, enjoying her bottle so much its like a meditation for her and us, as she slowly drinks with eyes closed; pure bliss! She loves her grass and hay. Willow and Gidget sleep together in a box sometimes in their bags or just cuddled up together.

Willow just wants to be close to Gidget, willow is going to be a much bigger wombat than Gidget

1st May 2022

Willow at 17 plus kg was not always seen when we put cut grass out for them, it took a few days to realose she was not on the wildlife cameras either. They had burrowed through what we thought was rock foundations to get under the suntoom, which is Dianna's office and online shop.

We drilled many small holes in the floor, putting a plumbers type camera through till we located the burrow a large hole cut into floor to find sadly she had passed away. It was too late to get an necropsy and pathology, and how long would it take anyway. Months with no result. I did a fecal float on the poo (which looked fine pretty dry) which found no parasites.   Gidget watched Warwick retrieve Willow and stracthed the floor there and cried for the week's we were heartbroken as well.
