These are modeled off the Grey-Headed Flying-Fox, thousands of which USED to be seen hanging around in and flying off from Sydneys Botanical Gardens. Until they were recently removed they had roosted in this bay since before white man landed here. These large bats feed on nectar, pollen and fruit.
