Black Cockatoos! These majestic, moody rockstars of the Aussie skies are as striking as they are fascinating.
With their dark, smoky feathers, shaggy crests and deep calls, Black Cockatoos are the elegant emos of the bird world - but in the best way possible.
They can be over 60cm long from beak to tail.
In some Aboriginal cultures, Black Cockatoos are seen as harbingers of rain or change, often associated with spiritual messages or transformation.
They are several different types of Black Cockatoos. We drew the Red-tailed Black Cockatoo for you. As the name suggests, Red-tailed Black Cockatoos are recognisable for their gorgeous orange-to-red tail feathers that often resemble sunsets.
We loved drawing this stunning bird for you. Made into a sturdy and iconically Australian Keyring using recycled plastics right here in Brisbane, Australia.
