With their pale, heart-shaped faces and silent flight, barn owls are sometimes called 'ghost owls' - especially when they glide through the dark without a sound.
Barn owls have specialised feathers that muffle the sound of their wings, making them one of the quietest flyers in the animal kingdom. It's their secret hunting weapon.
Barn Owls are the most widespread and familiar of the owls and Australia has it’s very own subspecies - Tyto alba delicatula - The Eastern Barn Owl.
We loved drawing this Owl for you. Made into a sturdy and durable Keyring using recycled plastics right here in Brisbane, Australia.
