Annie returns jan 9 2017 fractures in her spine

Annie  returns jan 9 2017 fractures in her spine

Spotted lying under a tree near her old enclosure and no longer able o walk due to exhaustion and pain. Given pain medication and taken straight to Dr Howard Ralph luckily it was a clinic day and they had room for us.  She managed the 2.5 hr drive on a foam pad with rugs over it .

Diagnoses:
Annie has fractures on her Lumbar 7 spine, a broken back!
She is in release,  and coming and going. She came back new years eve, walking on all fours, in obvious pain and collapsing under a tree.
She's been to the amazing Dr Howard Ralph and xrayed. It's recoverable, not displaced a compression fracture Lumbar sine 7. Put on strong pain relief and valium to keep her chilled and she will be ready to start releasing again after at least 6-10 weeks. Poor annie, she's loving going back to bottles of milk 3 times a day, with drugs concealed in her milk she's getting around a bit and once mobile and managing well in the huge enclosure she started a second soft release, as always these are done at the animals pace.
That's why we release like this it's the last chance saloon, they get injured, and can come back and do!
