EU CUSTOMERS new rules 12th August

We are very very sad and sorry but we are no longer shipping to these countries we recognise you support over the years. 

 Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Spain, Sweden, Ireland.

BUT there is a work around  please read below

You can still purchase from these EU countries, you just cannot ship to them. 

Important Update for our German and European Supporters
Due to steep new European environmental compliance costs, including registering for VAT and paying an in country approved business their flat yearly rate. our small shop can no longer ship orders directly to  Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Spain, Sweden, Ireland.

Because we are a small operation, these flat-rate corporate fees and set up  of compliance of non EU country would completely wipe out the profits from our shop items, which directly support our wombats.  
Ive dont the maths foe each country and yearly set up fees are too much. We have purchased new compliant shipping fully compostable papaer packageing so will be useing that anyway. 
 

How you can still get our items:

The Gift Forwarding Option: We are more than happy to post your order to a friend or relative living inside Australia! They can then forward the package to you internationally from their local post office as a personal, private family gift. Private gifts are completely exempt from these commercial laws. I can advise the normal shipping cost of your order from Australia and if you let me know I can package parcel ready for them to just add their gift card and advise HS codes. I do not know what EU value gifts must be under for respective countries, will have to leave that up to you. 

We can still ship anything directly to our supporters in Netherlands, Norway, Switzerland, UK and Northern Ireland and many other  non EU countries. 

As these countries do not charge small retailers  these mandatory upfront fees.


Bonus Tip: If you have friends or family living in any non Eu countries like UK, Switzerland or The Netherlands, we can ship directly to them at our standard rates, and they can forward it to you across the border as a personal gift!

Please note that international orders shipped from Australia , except USA are sent on a Delivery At Place (DAP) basis. Local Value Added Tax (VAT) and a standard postal handling fee are not collected at checkout. These fees will be calculated by your local customs authority and must be paid by the recipient before your package can be delivered by your local postal service.

Ive spent many days doing the numbers on this and they just do not work. If the situation on  compliance fees changes for small business, not in EU and you see this please let me know as fees currently are for big business. and what makes it unviable. Kindest regards Dianna and Warwick
