Endangered Species Tea Towels

Designed and handprinted in Australia on high quality, long-wearing 100% cotton tea towel 

Galaxias fish are native to Australia and are found in Coastal rivers, streams and lakes. The Clarence, Golden, Swan and Pedder Galaxias species are endangered due to introduced fish species such as the aggressive Brown Trout, and the altering of water levels in lakes for hydro-power or water supply purposes. The Pedder Galaxias is considered extinct in its natural environment, as its sole natural population in the impounded Lake Pedder has gone.

Tasmanian Tea Towel Collection

This collection of designs draws attention to the plight of some of Tasmania's unique fauna facing extinction including the Swift Parrot, Forty Spotted Pardalote, the Eastern Curlew, the Spotted Handfish and the Tasmanian Masked Owl, the Tasmanian Devil. The iconic Tasmanian Tiger is also featured even though it is extinct. 
Tasmania's Iconic landscapes are also featured celebrating Cape Hauy on the Tasman Peninsula and Fluted Cape on Bruny Island.
Other designs include the Black Currawong, which is not endangered.
